Bengaluru: Three arrested in chain snatching incident

Bengaluru: The Ashoknagar police have arrested three persons in a chain snatching incident.
The accused have been identified as Syed Qasif (22), Fareed Ahmed (20), residents of Chamarajpet for chain snatching, and Sultan Pasha (27) of Padarayanapura for buying the stolen goods. A gold chain weighing 48.5 grams, a stolen mobile phone, and a bike were seized from the accused.
Syed Qasif and Freed Ahmed had fled on a motorbike after snatching the gold chain of a woman, identified as Hemalatha, while walking near Laxmi Road Junction.
They were taken into custody by police later. During interrogation, the accused confessed to having stolen motorbikes from BTM layout and used it for stealing gold chains from women, police said.
