Bengaluru: Three-member drug ring busted

Bengaluru: Three international drug peddlers have been arrested the city’s Central Crime Bureau’s Anti Narcotics Wing.

The arrested are Kerala-origin Subramani (26), Vidus (31) and Sejin (21). Rs 44 lakh worth of 2,113 grams hashish oil, 2 kilograms of marijuana, 105 empty cans, two mobile phones, and a weighing machine were recovered from their house within the KR Puram police station limits.

At the preliminary enquiry, they revealed that they bought drugs in bulk from a Vizag-based drug peddler. Later they would fill the hashish oil in small cans and make small packets of marijuana.

It was reported that Vidus is an MSc Computer Science and Internet Applications graduate from in Luton City, Bedfordshire, England.

CCB officials also revealed that to divert police attention from their operations, bottles of Parachute coconut oil were used to carry the hashish oil from Vizag to Bengaluru by the trio.

Speaking at a news conference on Saturday about the arrest of the trio city Police Commissioner stated that management boards of all educational institutions must cooperate with the police in rooting out the drug menace from the city.

He requested the boards to immediately inform the police if they come across incidents of drugs being sold near their schools and colleges.
