Bengaluru to Jamshedpur train catches fire in Andhra Pradesh

Bengaluru: The Yesvantpur-Tatanagar Superfast Express, bound for Jamshedpur caught fire on Tuesday, 2 AM in Andhra Pradesh’s East Godavari district.

Reportedly, a fire broke out in the pantry, the staff separated the pantry car, stopping the fire from spreading to the other bogies of the train. 

No injuries from the incident have been reported so far. However, the pantry of the train was completely destroyed. The origin of the fire is not yet known. 

Trains in the Vijayawada-Vizag sector were delayed due to the accident. However, train services resumed soon after.

Police and railway officials are currently at the spot, to ascertain the cause of the fire.
