Bengaluru: Bengaluru’s Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic West) Kuldeep Kumar R Jain took to Twitter to share pictures of potholes being filled at Nayandahalli Junction by the traffic police.
Kumar said that it was done “with the help of public”. The cops, led by inspector Roopa Hadagali filled nearly 10 potholes in the city.
This comes as activists said that they will perform ‘pothole pooja’ in Bengaluru if potholes are not fixed by October 30.
On the occasion of Ayudha Puja, activists and alumni from the B.Clip (Programme by the Bangalore Political Action Committee) had “worshipped” the ‘Pothole Amma’ near Chalukya junction. The group members said that they tried black humor to draw the authorities’ attention to the problem.
