Bengaluru, Tumakuru win big in Smart City awards

Bengaluru: Bengaluru Smart City has been awarded a special award for its excellent use of information technology (IT) in the COVID-19 emergency management.
Award was given by the Central government on Saturday on the occasion of the 6th anniversary of Smart City projects across the country.
Bengaluru Smart City was a Runner Up in the category of providing internships to graduates in the industry.
The city also received three stars at the national level in weather assessment.
Tumakuru won the Smart City Digital Library Award.
The city’s Digital Library has been recognized as one of the best projects implemented in the country’s 100 Smart Cities as the library has rare books along with books related to various fields and courses.
