Tilaknagar police have apprehended two individuals, Salman and Pathan, for unlawfully seizing Jagannath’s auto on the pretext of an unpaid loan.

Jagannath, who had procured a loan from a finance company on MG Road three months ago and had allegedly failed to make the payment for March. Consequently, Rangaswamy, who had provided bail for the loan, instructed individuals affiliated with the Karnataka Recovery Agency to seize the auto.

The incident occurred late on Monday night while Jagannath was en route to BTM Layout. Despite his pleas, the accused proceeded to seize the auto. Subsequently, Jagannath contacted Salman and requested the release of the vehicle. However, the accused invoked religious sentiments and refused to comply, leading Jagannath to file a complaint seeking legal action against them.

In response to the complaint, Tilaknagar police have arrested Salman and Pathan.
