Bengaluru: Police officials have arrested two drug peddlers, including an African national, who were caught with the consignment when the police were on patrolling duty.
It is said that the police officials noticed a car and an autorickshaw parked in Nayandahalli. One of the car tyres was flat and the cab driver was fixing a spare tyre when the cops approached them.
A foreigner who was seen talking to the auto-driver ran from the spot when police approached him. The cops chased and nabbed him. He was identified as Warren and was over-staying in the country as his visa had expired in 2018.
Warren revealed that there was a bag inside the car that belonged to his other accomplice, Arpit. Police found marijuana in the bag.
It is said that Arpit was a tattoo artist and would coax his customers into smoking weed while inking citing it would help them reduce pain.
Further investigations are underway.
