Bengaluru: Woman collapses, dies during gym workout

Bengaluru: A woman suddenly collapsed and died during a workout session at a gym here on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Vinaya Kumari (44), a native of Mangaluru.

Vinaya worked at a private company and lived in a rented apartment in Malleshpalya. She was a regular at the gym in Malleshpalya.

On Saturday, Vinaya had visited the gym as usual. When doing the squats on a machine, she suddenly collapsed. Though she was rushed to the hospital, she breathed her last before reaching there, sources said.

The mortal remains have been shifted to the mortuary at CV Raman City Hospital.

A case in this regard has been registered at the Byappanahalli Police Station.
