Bengaluru: Woman falls on potholed road, run over by truck

Bengaluru: A woman died after she allegedly fell from a two-wheeler on which she was riding and was run over by a truck on Sunday in Byadarahalli.

The deceased has been identified as Sharmila, a resident of Pattegarapalya in west Bengaluru and a teacher with a private school. Her husband Prakash sustained minor injuries in the accident.

The woman, who was travelling with her husband, reportedly fell while they were trying to avoid a pothole on the road. A pick-up truck ran over the woman killing her on the spot.

The husband is currently being treated at a private hospital.

A case has been registered.
