Bengaluru: Woman using keys hidden by owners to rob houses arrested

Bengaluru: Police officials have arrested a woman who burgled houses using keys hidden outside the property in Bengaluru.

The arrested accused has been identified as Jayanti alias Kutiyamma (31). She was arrested by the Vidyaranya police officials in connection with the two robbery cases in Byrappa Garden and AMS layout.

The investigation revealed that she was booked 23 times between 2011 and 2021 and also has been arrested several times.

It is said that Jayanti would roam residential areas and identify locked houses. She would then use keys hidden near the door and in other easily accessible places to gain entry.

Police have recovered 75 grams of gold and 600 grams of silver from the accused.
