Bengaluru: In a gruesome discovery, the body of a young woman was found cut into more than 30 pieces inside a fridge at a residence in Vyalikaval, Bengaluru, on Saturday, September 21.
Local residents grew suspicious after noticing a foul smell coming from the first-floor apartment of the building and informed the police. The police rushed to the scene and immediately launched an investigation.
Speaking to the media after preliminary investigations, Additional Commissioner of Police, Satish, revealed that the body of the 26-year-old woman had been dismembered into over 30 pieces and stored in the fridge. “The crime is suspected to have been committed four or five days ago. A high-level investigation team, including the Scene of Crime Officer (SOCO), dog squad, FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory), and senior officers, has been deployed,” Satish said.
