BESCOM to replace mechanical meters with digital in B’luru city

Bengaluru: The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has decided to install digital meters to improve power efficiency.
Taking to the Koo app, Namma BESCOM stated, “Dear customers, the old mechanical meters will be replaced by digital meters. No charges will be applied for new digital meter installation”.
As per the reports, meters of houses falling under BESCOM jurisdiction in the city would be upgraded.
