Congress leader Moideen Bawa on Tuesday, March 14 challenged BJP MLA Bharath Shetty to prove his claim that he had trampled the prasad of a temple.

Recently Bharath Shetty claimed that Bawa trampled the prasad of the temple. In reaction, Bawa challenged Bharath to reveal where and when he had supposedly trampled the prasadam.

He also demanded Shetty reveal the time and place where this incident occurred.

“I have been taught to respect other religions from a young age,” Bawa added.

Bawa further claimed that Bharath Shetty distributed Rs 40 cr to the wards in order to receive a commission in the Rs 58 cr sanctioned to the Ganeshpur temple.

The former MLA claims to have evidence of Shetty receiving commission from Muslim contractors to whom he has given contracts. He has challenged Shetty to an open discussion regarding this matter.

Reacting to Bharat’s claims about the cheque given by Bawa had bounced, the former MLA said that he would retire from public life within 24 hours if Bharath reveals the name of the person to whom the check had been issued.
