Bhaskar Moily elected as the new Mayor for Mangaluru

Mangaluru: Bhaskar Moily has been elected as the Mayor of Mangaluru city. 

Moily has was chosen by Congress Corporators to contest for the mayoral election.

An election was conducted at Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) office today, Moily secured a total of 37 votes and Surendra from BJP secured 19 votes and 5 corporators remained neutral. 

Mohammed Kunjathabail from Congress was elected as deputy mayor.

District in-charge minister Ramanath Rai along with MLA J R Lobo, MLA Moideen Bawa, MLC Ivan D’Souza, mayor Kavitha Sanil and other congress corporators’ held the meeting in which Bhaskar Moily was chosen.
