Bhatkal: 3 more COVID-19 positive

Bhatkal: Three family members of a 65-year-old man who had arrived from Dubai have confirmed to have contracted the novel coronavirus on Saturday, March 28.

The 55-year-old wife of the man and his two daughters in their twenties are the two new COVID-19 positive cases in Bhatkal bringing the total number of cases to 6 in the district.

Four people have already been confirmed positive here.

A young man, native of Bhatkal, was confirmed positive at Mangaluru on arriving from Dubai on March 19.

A 40-year-old man arrived from Dubai at Mangaluru on March 21. He had visited a hospital after feeling feverish and tests later confirmed the virus.

A 60-year-old had arrived from Dubai at Mumbai on March 19 and reached his hometown by train on March 20.

Another case was of a 22-year-old who arrived from Dubai at Dabolim airport, Goa on March 20.
