Bhatkal: International Scuba Diving festival from Jan 6

Karwar: For the first time in Bhatkal, an international scuba diving festival is being organised by the district administration at Murudeshwara Nethrani Island on January 6 and 7.

Over 150 contestants from across the world will be participating in International Scuba diving Utsav. Exhibitions, snorkelling and water games will also be a part of the fest. Screening of short movies based on the lives of the local fishermen, communities and seashores of Uttara Kannada will also be done at the Utsav.

Finkick Adventures Company from Pune has shouldered the entire responsibility of organising the scuba diving fest. The district administration and the department of tourism have discharged Rs. 20 lakh for the Utsav.
