Bhatkal: In a tragic incident, a man died of severe bleeding after his bike allegedly skidded on Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as Dinesha Erappa Naik, a restauranteur, and resident of Gummanahakkala in Murudeshwar.
On Sunday morning at around 7 am, a passerby noticed Dinesh fallen on the roadside, with severe injuries. Police were alerted and Dinesh was rushed to a hospital. However, doctors declared him brought dead.
Police suspect Dinesh’s bike may have skidded on his way home on Saturday night, receiving severe head injuries. As the incident occurred at night time, nobody noticed him and he bled to death, police sources said.
An autopsy was conducted at a hospital in Murudeshwar. Based on a complaint by the brother of the deceased, Sridhar Mohan Naik, Murdeshwa Police have registered a case and have taken up the investigation into the death.
