Bhatkal: Thieves break into house, valuables worth Rs 25 lakh stolen

Unidentified thieves forcefully entered a house and made away with gold, silver, and various other items valued at approximately 25 lakhs in Chitrapur.
The incident took place while the homeowner, Mahesh Pandit, an ex-soldier was away in Mumbai.
Taking advantage of the vacant property, the thieves shattered the front door to gain access to the house and stole valuables from the house. 300 grams of gold and 12 kilograms of silver ornaments have been stolen.
The theft came to light on Saturday, June 10, when an alert neighbor noticed the open door of the residence.
A case has been registered.
