Bhatkal: A youth has been found murdered in a lodge here on Saturday night October 19th. The victim is identified as Mohammed Affan (26) son of Mohammed Ali Jabali.
It is suspected that the motive behind the murder is related to some monetary dealing. It is said that Affan had come to make a big deal which included a meeting of 5-6 people at a room in Shanbhag lodge and apparently, the talks did not go as planned and ended up in murder.
When the assailants were attempting to escape after committing the murder, the police managed to capture one of them. However, the rest managed to escape, it is reported. It is learnt that before getting murdered, Affan had made a call to his sister and informed her that he was kept hostage within a room.
