Bhoje Gowda urges state govt to give Rs 30L compensation to teacher’s kin who died of Covid-19

Mangaluru: MLC S L Bhoje Gowda on Friday, November 20 met the family members of teacher Padmakshi who succumbed to Covid-19 infection.

After meeting Padmakshi’s family members at Kallabettu, Bhoje Gowda urged Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa led the state government to release compensation of Rs 30 lakh to covid warrior Padmakshi.

“The state government had announced that it will give Rs 30 lakh compensation for those covid warriors who succumb to the virus, but except for a doctor in Mysuru, the government has not released the compensation to others so far.”

“Padmakshi was infected with Covid-19 while on duty during the Vidyagama programme, the state government should hand overcompensation of Rs 30 lakh to her family at the earliest,” he added.
