‘Big Catch’: CCB police arrest Viren Khanna in Sandalwood drug racket case

Bengaluru: CCB police on Friday arrested Viren Khanna, whom they termed as a ‘big catch’ in the Sandalwood drug racket case.
Bengaluru Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sandeep Patil in a statement stated that Khanna is the main person who organises big parties where drugs are consumed.
“He was in Delhi and two CCB police inspectors had gone to Delhi and arrested him,” Patil said.
Khanna has been remanded to 4-day police custody.
Earlier yesterday, police also arrested actress Ragini Dwivedi in connection with the drug abuse case.
The CCB intensified its investigation into a drugs haul in Bengaluru after the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested three persons from the city, who were allegedly supplying drugs to singers and actors in the Kannada film industry, also known as “Sandalwood”.
