Bike crashes as huge stone fall over, rider escapes with minor injuries

Honnavar: A man sustained injuries after a huge stone fell over his bike on Thursday, June 11 on National Highway 66 near Manki village in Honnavar Taluk of Uttara Kannada district.
Girish Budhavanta Naik was riding the bike when a rock slipped from the mountain and fell over him. He escaped with minor injuries but His bike was completely crashed in the incident.
IRB company has the contract of double road construction and the mountain land beside the NH were cleared to make double road construction. The rock that has fallen from the mountain.
As per sources, many such landslide incidents were reported in Udupi and Uttara Kannada district during monsoon.
A case has been registered in Manki police station.
