Bike pillion rider killed in container truck accident near Brahmavara

Brahmavara: A 30-year-old woman was killed in an accident on the national highway near Herur, Brahmavara on Sunday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Nagaveni, a resident of Bolamballi, Byndoor.

Nagaveni was traveling to Manipal on a bike with her husband, Satish, when a container truck rammed into their vehicle from behind. The impact caused both to fall onto the road, sustaining injuries.

Nagaveni suffered severe injuries to her face and head and succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Brahmavara.

A case has been registered at the Brahmavar police station.
