Bike set on fire at Gangolli

Udupi: A scooter was set to fire at Gangolli near here on Saturday midnight.

It has been reported that a Honda Activa scooter that was parked in front of the house of Nayeem, resident from Gangolli was set on fire. The neighbors were alerted and noticed Gururaj running away from the spot after setting fire to the scooter.

Based on the allegations, Police arrested Gururaj, resident from Gangolli. It is learnt that he has confessed to the crime.

Subbanna, in-charge police sub-inspector and personnel of Gangolli police station acted swiftly and knocked on the door of Gururaj Kharvi’s home. Gururaj, who was asleep tried to escape on seeing the police.
