Bike-tipper accident: one dead

Punjalakatte: A bike rider lost his life in an accident that occurred between a bike and a tipper lorry at Kominadka near Pandavarakallu in Badagakajekaru on Friday. The pillion rider suffered grievous injuries in the mishap.
The deceased is identified as Prashant (30), a resident of Pandavarakallu and the injured is Prakash. The bike coming from the front side collided with the rear wheel of the tipper lorry which was proceeding towards Pandavarakallu from Madayanthar. The pillon rider has injured one of his hands and the bike has been damaged. The locals rushed the injured to a hospital in Mangaluru. However, Prashant lost his life failing to respond to the given treatment.
Prashant was the second son of the four children of laye Raghava Poojary of Kakyapadavu Ramanagar. He was working as a painter and was also a bachelor. He is survived by his mother, brother and two sisters.
