Bike-truck accident kills rider

Nanthoor: A youth died after he met with an accident with a truck near Canara Workshop in Bikarnakatte on Wednesday, December 26.

The deceased youth is identified as Vijeth Rao (21), hailing from Perampalli, Udupi. He was employed as a chartered accountant.  

As per the available information Vijeth was on his way to office from his room located in Adyar, when the tragedy struck. Apparently a KTM bike bearing registration number KA 20 TJ 8700 tried to overtake a container truck bearing registration number KA 19 AA 5805 before crashing into it.

The grievously injured bike rider was rushed to a private hospital where he failed to respond to the given treatment and succumbed to his injuries.

A case in this connection is registered with Kadri traffic police.
