Bengaluru: A 28-year-old woman techie has filed a complaint with the HAL police against a biker who collided into her scooter from behind, and upon being confronted, he allegedly unzipped his trousers and flashed at her before punching her in the face.

On Tuesday at around 12.30 pm the victim, a resident of Marathalli, was riding her scooter with a male friend. The woman techie, in her complaint, claimed that they had stopped at HAL traffic signal when the biker hit her scooter from behind and when her male friend confronted him for riding rashly, he pinned the blame on her for applying brakes all of a sudden.

The victim intervened when she felt that they both were about to come to blows. It was at this time that the biker manhandled her and flashed at her, states the complaint.

Police, citing her complaint, said she immediately took out her mobile phone and clicked a photo. This infuriated the biker who snatched her phone and threw it on the road. He also hit her helmet with his hand and then punched her in the face. When people gathered at the spot, he fled the spot.

Meanwhile, the victim was able to get the registration number of the accused’s two-wheeler as well as his photo, informed the police.

A case has been registered under IPC Section 509 (insult to the modesty of a woman) and Section 323 (voluntarily causing hurt)  and a team has been formed nab the pervert, the police official said.
