Bill supporting Kambala, Bull Cart Race proposed in Karnataka assembly session today

Bengaluru: A bill supporting Kambala has been proposed in Karnataka state legislative assembly session on Friday morning. According to the proposed bill, two rural sports events, Kambala and bull card race have been permitted to organise in the state with some rules and regulations under prevention of cruelty to animals act.

The both races will be exempted from the animal violence prevention act. The proposed bill has asked the the organisers of the events not to harm the animals while conducting either Kambala or bull cart race. Also, the bill has asked to ensure that domestic breeds have been utilised in the above said events. Culture, language of the land should be promoted while conducting Kambala and cart race.
