BJP allied with Income-Tax Department, says Rizwan Arshad

Bengaluru: After I-T sleuths raided Bangalore Central Congress candidate Rizwan Arshad’s campaign office and several of his accomplices in an early morning crackdown he said that like the alliance between Congress and JD(S) in Karnataka, BJP is allied with the Income-Tax Department.

Addressing presspersons in this regard he angrily said that BJP is using such tactics fearing imminent defeat in Bengaluru in the upcoming elections.

He further angrily questioned “Is it the job of the I-T department to raid an opposition candidate’s campaign office? On what basis was the office raided?”

The IT officials also searched several persons he wasn’t even acquainted with, he alleged.

15 to 20 people were raided by I-T officials without evidence, he informed.
