BJP appeals Central Election Commission to postpone Ramanagara by-elections

Bengaluru: Following the withdrawal of nomination by BJP candidate L.Chandrashekar from Ramanagara Constituency the BJP has now requested the Central Election Commission to postpone the by-elections in the constituency.
CN Ramu, BJP SC Morcha National General Secretary sent a e-mail in this regards to the Election Commission on Thursday night.
The bypolls for the Ramanagar constituency was necessitated after HD Kumaraswamy took charge as the Chief Minister. Chandrashekhar who had been fielded as the BJP candidate from the Ramnagar constituency, on Thursday withdrew his nomination and joined Congress on the same day.
Several legal aspects have been proposed while demanding the postponement of elections. Reportedly a delegation of senior BJP leader will be meeting Election Commission today (Friday) to discuss the same.
