Mangaluru: BJP, both at the Centre and state government level, has been giving special priority to the political upliftment of the backward classes, said BJP Backward Classes Morcha State President N.L. Narendra Babu.
Addressing the special functionary of the BJP District Backward Classes Morcha organized in Shaktinagar on Saturday, Babu said that the party’s governments at the Centre and State have given special status, opportunities, and projects for giving political representation to the backward classes.
Noting that backward classes have played a major role in the growth and organization of the party, he called on the Backward Classes Morcha to work hard for realising the target of winning 150 seats in the next Assembly elections in the state.
He asked the Morcha to create awareness among the masses about the schemes and facilities given by the government for the upliftment of the backward classes and work towards reaching them adequately.
