BJP converting ‘textbooks’ into ‘partybooks’: HDK

Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Tuesday said that the ruling BJP is converting school ‘textbooks’ into ‘partybooks’.
He was reacting to the BJP’s move of including a speech by the founder of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in a revised Kannada textbook for students of class X.
Kumaraswamy said,” We are ruled by a cruel government. BJP is playing dirty politics by targeting school textbooks. During our alliance, they could not involve in these kind of activities. The fake ‘RashtraBhakts’ win elections with the help of their so called ‘Operation Kamala’.”
“The coward government has removed the lesson on Bhagat Singh from the school textbook and has added RSS founder’s chapter. Bhagat Singh made the supreme sacrifice for the country at a young age while Sangh Parivar became the Gulams of the British,” he added.
“They created unrest in the society by raking up Hijab, Halal issues. Now, they are targeting the textbooks. It is high time that the people of Karnataka question the BJP government,” he opined.
