Bengaluru: The BJP party in Karnataka rubbished the allegations on BSY over eating hotel food at Dalit’s home.
Addressing a press conference in Bengaluru on Monday, BJP spokesperson and MLA S Suresh Kumar stated that BSY and other leaders indeed had breakfast prepared in the houses of Dalits in Tumakuru and Chitradurga.
Kumar further stated that the whole issue is having food at the residence of Dalits with members of the family and not to bother whether the food is prepared at home or brought from outside.
On a video circulated by the BJP, Madhu Kumar, a member of the family that Yedduruappa visited, said, “We were very happy to hear that the former chief minister was coming to our house. He came on May 19, at 8.30 am. We served him breakfast that we had cooked at home. He ate the breakfast. But because there were more people than expected we had to get food from outside.”
