BJP ex-corporator murder case: Eight charge-sheeted

Bengaluru: The police probing the murder of former corporator Rekha Kadiresh recently filed a 780-page charge sheet with a local court.
In the chargesheet, the police narrated how prime accused R Mala (60), saw her sister-in-law as a hindrance to her family’s political growth and plotted and executed her elimination.
Two-time former BBMP councillor from BJP, Rekha Kadiresh, who had represented Chalavadipalya ward, was hacked to death outside her office in Flower Garden area under Cottonpet police limits inthe month of June this year.
Following the murder teams headed by eight police inspectors were formed to nab the assailants. The teams started gathering information about the assailants both through ground intelligence and technical assistance and nabbed those involed in the murder.
Around 50 people were questioned as part of the probe and four persons, who happened to be relatives of the deceased.
