Bengaluru: State BJP’s Social Media Cell on Tuesday lodged a complaint at Malleshwaram police station to take strict action against the handlers of a Facebook page for carrying out false news and malicious propaganda against BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa.
The complainants have sought legal action against the page admins of the Facebook page ‘Jokers of BJP-Karnataka’.
“One of the posts in the page stated that BS Yeddyurappa wears shoes that are worth Rs one lakh. This is false, baseless and malicious. Such kind of campaigns against BJP state president is unacceptable and strongly condemnable,” said BJP Social Media Cell Convenor Balaji S in a statement.
