BJP gains victory in all five constituencies in Udupi

Udupi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won a great victory at the assembly elections winning all five seats in Udupi district.
BJP candidate, Raghupati Bhat from Udupi defeated Congress candidate Pramod Madhwaraj with a margin of over 12,000 votes.
BJP candidate, Lalaji R Mendon from Kaup defeated Congress candidate Vinay Kumar Sorake with a margin of 12,000 votes.
BJP candidate, Halady Shrinivas Shetty from Kundapura defeated his rival Congress candidate Rakesh Malli by a massive margin of 56,405 votes.
BJP candidate, Sunil Kumar from Karkala defeated Congress candidate Gopal Bhandary by a margin of 42,566 votes.
BJP candidate, Sukumar Shetty from Byndoor defeated Congress candidate Gopal Poojary by a margin of 24,500 votes.
