Bengaluru: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday turned out with its second list of applicants with 82 names for the Assembly elections, which incorporated some politically controversial ones, for example, former Ministers Katta Subramanya Naidu, S.N. Krishnaiah Setty, H. Halappa, and M.P. Renukacharya.
While the corruption allegations against Mr. Naidu and the rape charges against Mr. Halappa have been struck around the courts, the corruption argument against Mr. Setty is as yet pending. Mr. Renukacharya had arrived in a controversy when his photos with a lady had surfaced in the media.
The list was discharged a day after the party’s central decision panel meeting in New Delhi.
The party had discharged its first list of 72 candidates on April 8, and the party has discharged a total of 154 seats for elections to the 224-constituency on Monday.
