BJP issues show-cause notice to Vijayapura MLA Yatnal over remarks against CM

Bengaluru: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has issued a show-cause notice to its legislator, Basanagouda Patil Yatnal for constantly chiding chief minister BS Yediyurappa and the state government.
The Vijayapura MLA has repeatedly been making controversial remarks against the chief minister, including indicating a change of guard following the Cabinet expansion exercise.
Recently Yatnal had claimed that the chief minister will be replaced after Yugadi and the next chief minister will be from northern Karnataka.
He had also alleged that Yediyurappa had been blackmailed with a secret CD to allot ministerial posts in the backdrop of the inclusion of seven members into the Cabinet. The opposition used his remarks to attack the government.
BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel had asked the disciplinary committee to take action against Yatnal following which Arun Singh, national general secretary in-charge of Karnataka is said to have issued the show cause notice
