BJP members stage hunger strike in Manipal

Udupi: BJP leader, Shobha Karandlaje along with BJP party members participated in hunger strike opposite the deputy commissioner’s office complex at Rajatadri, Manipal here today.
The strike was held in support of PM Modi’s strike against the Congress government.
Addressing the gathering, Shobha clarified saying that this strike is held in support of PM Modi’s strike. She said that Modi is undertaking fast today and individual BJP members of parliament are also supporting him by undertaking hunger strike on Thursday in their respective constituencies.
Shobha mentioned that several bills belonging to backward castes have been under pending status in parliament. The Congress has been postponing holding a discussion on the same.
Udaykumar Shetty, Yashpal Suvarna, Suresh Kuylady, Lalaji R Mendon, Geethanjali Suvarna, MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary, Dinakarbabu, president, Sheela K Shetty, Shilpa Suvarna and others were present.
