Koppal: Karnataka BJP MLA Basavaraj Dadesugur’s son cutting a cake using his iPhone has drawn severe criticism.

In a video, Suresh Dadesugur, the MLA’s second son was seen cutting eight cakes with an iPhone during the birthday bash in Hosapete. He also took his friends from Kanakagiri and Karatagi for a joyride in his BMW 520D luxury car.

Congress leaders said that this is an ugly display of wealth by the MLA’s family and is an insult to the poor and deprived classes in the constituency.

However,  Basavaraj defended his son’s action and said that it was his ‘hard-earned money’ and he could celebrate as he wished.

It may be recalled that after losing the Assembly elections twice, Dadesugur had requested residents to source money to fight elections. After winning the assembly polls, they have now bought at least three luxury cars.
