MLA and Congress candidate in Belagavi Lakshmi Hebbalkar on Sunday alleged that BJP has planned to raid the houses of 50 Congress candidates in Karnataka.

At a press conference in Belgaum, Hebbalakar accused the BJP of resorting to desperate measures to divert attention from the election.

Hebbalkar said, ” The BJP is specifically targeting JD (S) and Congress as well as three other leaders or candidates in the Belagavi district. Our well-wishers from various departments sent us tips about this. I promise to release the identities of the targeted individuals in due course.”

“Such tactics should not be used during the final phase of campaigning. However, there is a pro-Congress atmosphere throughout Karnataka, and voters have made up their minds to bring a Congress government to power,” she added.

Hebbalakar remains confident that it will have no impact on her campaign, and that Congress will emerge victorious in the election.
