BJP seeks suspension of Rahul Gandhi from Lok Sabha over ‘democracy under threat’ remarks
PTI, Mar 17, 2023, 2:00 PM IST
Stepping up its attack against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his “democracy under attack” remarks, the Bharatiya Janata Party has sought his suspension from the Lok Sabha, if he doesn’t tender an apology in the Lower House.
Rahul Gandhi had alleged that the structures of Indian democracy are under “brutal attack” and there is a full-scale assault on the institutions of the country during his UK tour.
Earlier today BJP president JP Nadda accused Gandhi of speaking the language of ”anti-India” George Soros, a billionaire financier, and alleged that the Congress and the ”so-called Left liberals” have become a part of the ”deep state” conspiracy involving foreign forces against the country. ”Anti-national” Congress leaders have been speaking the language of Pakistan, he added.
