Mysuru: As Karnataka is just a few months away from the 2023 assembly polls, the political calculations are on a high.
BJP State Vice President B Y Vijayendra who is on his Mysuru visit on Sunday, December 11, was welcomed by the party workers with slogans “Vijayendra is the next CM’ and ‘Rajahuli Ki Jai’.
Reports suggest that Vijayendra has eyed on Varuna Assembly Constituency, where former chief minister Siddaramaiah’s son Dr. Yatindra has been elected as a legislator from Congress.
It is learned that Yatindra is ready to sacrifice his seat for his father, Siddarmaiah.
Meanwhile, on the question about contesting against Siddaramaiah in Varuna Constituency, Vijayendra replied, “I’m ready for any challenges. Ultimately, the party’s high command will decide. I’m not only working to strengthen the party cadre in Varuna but throughout the state. We are aiming towards achieving maximum seats in the Old Mysuru belt. Hence, we are concentrating more on this region.”
“Modi is like a tsunami which Congress will never understand. Gujarat assembly poll results say it all. This will have an impact on Karnataka politics as well. Congress will get its answers in Karnataka elections.”
