BJP Yuva Morcha protests against Congress in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: As the Congress leaders were arriving for its state-level convention at the Sahyadri College ground in Adyar on Saturday, BJP Yuva Morcha activists tried to protest near Bondel against the alleged “anti-Hindu policy” of the state government.
AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge, CM Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, AICC State In-charge Randeep Surjewala, along with several state ministers and MLAs, were in the city to participate in the convention. Congress workers had arrived from various districts of the state.
Mangaluru Uttar Mandal BJP Yuva Morcha activists, who were planning to protest near Bondel on Airport Road, were halted by the police. The protestors were shouting slogans against the government’s alleged anti-Hindu policy and the filing of an FIR against MLAs Bharat Shetty and Vedavyas Kamat.
They displayed placards and chanted slogans against the CM and the Congress government. Police security prevented them from approaching CM’s convoy and creating disruptions.
