BJP’s Jayashree Prafulladas elected president of Kotekar Town panchayat

Mangaluru: Jayashree Prafulladas of BJP has been elected unanimously as the president of Kotekar Town panchayat.  For the past two years, Kotekar town panchayat did not have a president.  It was running under the administration of vice president, Bharathi Raghava Gatty

It is said that the president post was reserved for ST woman and  ss there was no candidate from BJP, only vice president was elected.

Zilla panchayat vice president Kasturi Panja, area BJP leaders Santhosh Boliyaru, Sathish Kumpala, Ravindra Shetty Ulidottu, Hemanth Shetty Deralakatte and others were present during the election process.
