Bengaluru: BJP general secretary (organisation), B L Santhosh hit back at Karnataka Chief Minister designate Siddaramaiah and KPCC president DK Shivakumar for arranging the swearing-in ceremony on May 20, which also happens to be the day schduled for holding the Common Entrance Test (CET) in the state.
In a Tweet posted on May 19, B L Santhosh reminded Siddaramaiaih about his criticism of PM Narendra Modi’s May 7 roadshow in Bengaluru which coincided with the day scheduled for the NEET examination.
“Not many days has passed after our designate CM tweeted this . Tomorrow is CET exams across state & Bengaluru. What would have happened Sri @siddaramaiah & Sri @DKShivakumar if your oath taking was deferred by a day or two so that students will not be troubled .” Santhosh tweeted, quoting Siddaramaiah’s old Tweet opposing PM Modi’s roadshow in Bengaluru.
Siddaramaiah had called for the postponement of PM Modi’s roadshow in view of the inconvenience caused to NEET aspirants. “Defying the opposition of NEET aspirants and the people of Bangalore, the road show to be held tomorrow in Bangalore by the Prime Minister @narendramodi is a very irresponsible move. Let Modi campaign, we have no problem. But who is responsible for the problems caused to the students?”, Siddaramaiah had said in a series of tweets on May 6.
