B’luru: Ambulance drivers leaves Covid patient’s body on the road over payment issues

Bengaluru: The driver of an ambulance left the dead body of Covid patient on the footpath as the family could not afford to pay him.
The incident occured near Hebbal crematorium.
It is said that Anuj Singh who was recently admitted to hospital over Covid sympotms, passed away and his dead body was being taken to the crematorium!
Ambulance driver named Sharath Gowda demanded Rs 18,000 from his wife and she gave him Rs 3,000 saying she will pay him next time as she does not have enough money.
But the heartless driver left the body on the footpath and drove away.
Later, the staff of the nearby crematorium helped the lady conduct final rites.
The incharge of the crematorium then filed a complaint against the driver in Amruthahalli police station.
