Bengaluru: Unidentified miscreants barged into a house and hacked to death a rowdy sheeter while he was sleeping on Tuesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Satish alias Military Satish, 30, a Maya Bazar resident.

Reportedly Satish had retired to bed after having dinner on Tuesday night. His wife and children were sleeping in another room.

A gang of 4-5 armed men barged inside the house at around 2.30 am and assaulted Satish inflicting serious injuries on his stomach, hands, and legs. Satish’s family woke up upon hearing his screams and found him lying in a pool of blood. He was rushed to a hospital but he died on the way.

Vivekanagar police reached the spot and registered a case.

Police said that Satish was involved in several criminal cases, including an attempt to murder. It is suspected that he might have been murdered due to old enmity.
