B’luru: Attack on Bakery staff; Four arrested

Bengaluru: Police officials have arrested four people including a tea stall owner for attacking the bakery staff over business rivalry in Munnekolala.
The arrested accused have been identified as Manjunath, a tea stall owner, Karthik, 20, a delivery executive, Karthik N., 23, a hotel manager, and Salman, 20, an aluminum worker in Marathahalli.
It is said that the bakery is owned by Naveen Kumar Shetty. The accused fought over paying the bill and also robbed the staff’s gold chain, mobile and cash.
During the investigation, it was revealed that Manjunath had promised to pay money to the accused to threaten his rival.
Sources claim that Manjunath incurred losses in business ever since the bakery was opened in the area.
The CCTV footage of the incident went viral and Byndoor MLA had appealed to the Home Minister to nab the accused.
Also, bakery owners and pro-Kannada activists protested in front of the police station demanding action.
