B’luru based IPS officer becomes first woman SP of Kasaragod

Kasaragod: Bengaluru-based IPS Officer, D Shilpa has been appointed as the new Superintendent of the Police (SP) of Kasargod District.

Shilpa assumed charge as the first woman Chief of Kasargod District Police on Saturday, May 30.

Her appointment as the new SP came after PS Sabu who took charge as the SP of the District in March was transferred with immediate effect.

Shilpa was appointed as SP in Kannur during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

After completing her IPS in 2016, she had worked as probationary SP in Kasaragod.
